VISITING CHOIRS

Sing at the Cathedral

Sheffield Cathedral is delighted to welcome choirs, both in the Diocese and across the UK, to lead worship for our Sunday services during school holidays.

Visiting choirs play a critical role in our mission, helping to bring the beauty of choral music to our congregation as well as allowing them to hear a broader range of singing.

Sheffield Cathedral is a magnificent venue in the city with many connections via public transport (including a dedicated tram stop), making it easily accessible for a wide range of transport options. Sheffield itself is also a vibrant city on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, with excellent connections to cities including Leeds and Manchester.

Interested choirs should be able to sing psalms, responses, settings of the canticles and anthems at Evensong, as well as music for the Eucharist if singing on a Sunday.

We are able to offer the following services for visiting choirs, subject to availability:

Saturday Evensong (3pm)

Sunday Eucharist (10:30am)

Sunday Evensong (4pm)

If you would like to bring your choir to sing at Sheffield Cathedral, please email music@sheffield-cathedral.org.uk

We ask that prospective choirs submit a CV and a recent sound recording (YouTube links are acceptable). Please also indicate what time you would like to visit Sheffield.
