Sheffield Cathedral has been made aware by South Yorkshire Police that public demonstrations are taking place in Sheffield City Center on Saturday 8 November 2025.
Our priority is the safety and well-being of everyone - visitors, staff, volunteers, and members of the public. We are in regular contact with the relevant authorities and will continue to follow their advice.
As a place of sanctuary, Sheffield Cathedral will remain open as usual. We are here for anyone who seeks a place of peace, reflection, or support.
We encourage all those visiting the Cathedral, or travelling through the area, to follow the guidance of local authorities and to take care around any public gatherings
