The Dean and Chapter are pleased to announce that The Rev Canon Keith Farrow, Canon Missioner has been appointed as Vice Dean of Sheffield Cathedral.
Keith was appointed Canon Missioner in 2014 prior to the completion of the Cathedral Gateway Project. The Dean of Sheffield, The Very Reverend Peter Bradley says, ‘As the Canon Missioner, Keith Farrow has brought energy, imagination, and focus to the Cathedral’s engagement with the wider community. In many different ways his work, in service of the Cathedral and the City, has been transformative. I am very pleased that Keith has agreed to take on further responsibilities in leading the Cathedral; the whole Cathedral team and I look forward to working closely with Keith in this additional role as our Vice Dean’.
Keith says, ‘ The past six years have been an exciting and joyful time as I have been able to make my contribution to the life and ministry of the Cathedral community. It has been wonderful working with the team here in our mission and calling to be A Place for All People. I look forward to further opportunities and responsibilities in the future to make known the good news of Christ to those who visit and worship at the cathedral’.
The installation will take place on Advent Sunday during the 10.30am service.
