More Tickets for The Angels are Coming

Demand from Sheffield’s public to witness ‘The Angels are Coming’ has been incredible. So much so, we have made available a further 750 tickets for the 5-day event.

‘The Angels are Coming’ will light up one of Sheffield’s oldest and most iconic buildings. Using sound and light projections to tell the story of Christmas in an imaginative and visually stunning way, the event will transform the Cathedral for five nights from Wednesday 4th December through to Sunday 8th December.

‘The Angels are Coming’ is something new and different for Sheffield Cathedral. It was a big decision for the Cathedral to commit to an event like this, but we’re really pleased we did. We’ve made more tickets available because we’ve been staggered by the response. ‘The Angels are Coming’ is a family event which tells the amazing story of Christmas in an unforgettable way. I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone to our Cathedral, friends, families, visitors old and new, to experience the incredible wonder of this place as never before.
— The Reverend Canon Keith Farrow

‘The Angels are Coming’ is being brought to Sheffield Cathedral by artist Peter Walker and composer David Harper who form an award-winning artistic collaboration called ‘Luxmuralis’ (which means ‘Light Murals’). Similar work by Luxmuralis has seen spectacular events in Germany, Italy and throughout the UK in various locations including The Bodleian Library, Oxfordshire, Compton Verney Warwickshire, and Cathedrals including Lichfield, St Albans, Christ Church and Guildford.
