In a world where the talk is often of war, or terror or economic crisis, Advent is a season of hopefulness. 

We are in a period that the Church knows as All Saints to Advent. It is a time of remembering.Let us remember those who have affected our lives for good and assisted us in our Christian discipleship.

As we gather in the Cathedral each day for the Eucharist we are reminded that the journey we travel through the liturgy invites us to be open to be transformed by God’s love and grace. 

Choral evensong is perhaps the Church of England’s most distinctive liturgy and most important contribution to worship in this country.

The Cathedral has a long history of serving the city and engaging with civic and business life. 

Let us pray for all pilgrims and ask that God shows his love and light to all those who seek him.
