Come and Sing Mozart

Join us for a special day of music-making as we perform Mozart’s Requiem, Coronation Mass and Ave Verum Corpus in the stunning setting of Sheffield Cathedral.

Sing alongside the Sheffield Cathedral Choir and the West Riding Ensemble, culminating in a public evening performance in the Cathedral.

For audience members, experience Mozart’s powerful final works brought to life by choir and orchestra in a breathtaking space.

Singer: £25 + booking fee

Information for Singers

Spend the day rehearsing and performing under the direction of Tom Daggett, Director of Music at Sheffield Cathedral, alongside professional musicians.

Schedule:

  • 10.30am – Registration

  • 11.00am–1.00pm – Morning workshop

  • 1.00pm–4.00pm – Lunch break (1554 Café open throughout)

  • 4.00pm–6.00pm – Afternoon rehearsal with orchestra

  • 7.00pm – Doors open for audience

  • 7.30pm – Concert performance

Tea and coffee will be provided during the day from the award winning 1554 Coffee Shop

Singers are welcome to bring their own scores (any edition). Limited score hire is available from the Cathedral on request.

All proceeds support the Cathedral’s Schools Singing Programme.
