Support Team Sheffield on Their Camino Journey

In March 2026, a team of ten wonderful members of The Sheffield Cathedral team and congregation will undertake a 100km pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago to raise funds for two charities supporting people affected by homelessness and marginalisation.

This March, The Very Revd Abi Thompson, Dean of Sheffield Cathedral, Tom Daggett, Director of Music, and many more will join Team Sheffield and travel on foot through Spain, crossing hills, forests and historic pilgrimage routes in a journey that will be both physically demanding and deeply reflective.

While places to join the walk have now closed, you can still be part of the journey.

This walk is about more than distance - it’s about people, dignity, and belonging. Team Sheffield are raising funds for two charities that transform lives in Sheffield and across the UK:

The Choir With No Name

A national charity running choirs for people affected by homelessness and marginalisation. Through weekly rehearsals, shared meals and performances, choirs build confidence, friendship and joy through music. The Sheffield choir rehearses here at the Cathedral — a living example of how music can restore confidence and create community.

The Archer Project

A Sheffield charity, operating from Sheffield Cathedral, supporting people at all stages of homelessness. From food, showers and healthcare to emotional and practical support, The Archer Project helps people build routine, independence and hope for the future.

Together, these charities provide both the essentials of daily life and the things that give life meaning — creativity, community, dignity and belonging.

By donating, you are walking with Team Sheffield in spirit and helping turn every step of their pilgrimage into real, lasting impact.

Donate today and help make a difference — one step at a time.
