About the choir

BeVox is a contemporary open-access choir, aiming for excellence in everything we do. We're based in Sheffield and Lincoln and have members from both of our groups joining us to create that special sound.

About the concert

Our Summer concert features a fantastic programme of Musical Theatre that spans the breadth from the earliest days of the modern musical (1927’s Showboat), to shows from the last decade or so (Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen). We have classics from both “Golden Ages” of musicals – the Rogers & Hammerstein era, and the heyday of the 1980s. Massive hits like The Lion King and Les Misérables are side-by-side with perhaps less well-known gems, including songs from Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along or Alan Menken’s musical adaptation of Sister Act. If you’re a fan of showtunes, this is the concert for you!

About the venue

The concert takes place in Sheffield Cathedral.  The building is fully wheelchair accessible.

Refreshments will be available to purchase before the show and during the interval.

Carers

If you are only able to access our events with the assistance of a carer, please get in touch with us (or ask your carer to do so) BEFORE you buy any tickets. Your carer will be able to attend at no cost, but we need to arrange this with you before you purchase your tickets.
