Charles Dickens’ unforgettable festive tale, A Christmas Carol is sure to be something to delight all the family as the magic of a very Victorian Christmas comes alive alongside the romance and passion of love in the English countryside.
Chapterhouse is best known for performing enchanting open-air theatre during the summer months in the gardens of beautiful country houses, castles and heritage sites across the UK and Ireland. Over its nineteen-year history, the company has also enjoyed occasional theatre tours, including sell-out national theatre tours of A Christmas Carol and Pride and Prejudice, as well as national sell-out tours of China.
Adapted for the stage by award-winning writer Laura Turner, whose previous work includes BBC EastEnders: E20, Holby City and Casualty, Hull Truck Theatre’s national tour of Jane Eyre and over 20 productions as Chapterhouse Theatre’s Associate Playwright, the productions will tour theatres and country houses throughout the Christmas season and are sure to bring a sparkle of magic to any festive Events Programme.
Complete with elegant period costume, song, dance and a beautiful original score composed by Chapterhouse’s Producer Richard Main, A Christmas Carol provides the perfect antidote to the Christmas hustle and bustle.
