Hyang Hee Woo

Hyang Hee was born in Incheon, South Korea in 1980. She studied organ with Eun Ju Seo at Seoul Theological University where she completed a BA in 2002. During her undergraduate years she performed numerous recitals, took part in several masterclasses and was awarded a number of scholarships. Following graduation, she moved to the U.K. to pursue her studies.

She completed her  organ studies on the MMus course at the Royal Northern College of Music, studying with Darius Battiwalla and Simon Lindley in 2012. She was a winner of the 2011 Royal Northern College of Music(RNCM) Organ recital prize.

She has given recitals in York Minster, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, Leeds Town Hall and Blackburn Cathedral. She has also given a Recital in St. Peter's Church Forsbrook for the launching of May Dale Young Organist Recital Award.

Hyang Hee  is currently organist and choir conductor at the Sheffield Korean Church where her husband is a minister.
