Sheffield Cathedral, a place for all people
Worship at Sheffield Cathedral

Welcome to Worship at Sheffield Cathedral

God has been worshipped on the site of Sheffield Cathedral for over 1000 years. The Cathedral stands as a sign of God’s love for us all, whoever we are and whatever our need.

The life of Sheffield Cathedral is rich and varied. It is a centre of Christian worship for the Church of England Diocese of Sheffield and the seat of the Bishop of Sheffield. It is also the spiritual home for a gifted and diverse community of people who share a faith in Jesus Christ.

You can find out more about what Christians believe on the Church of England website, here.

There are services every weekday as well as on Sundays. These include Holy Communion, the Daily Offices (Morning and Evening Prayer, or Evensong). Click here to view full details of services.

You can also read about our congregation and special services and learn about the midweek Bible Study.

Children form an important part of our church and we provide a range of activities that are tailored to each age group and that encourage interaction.  Click here to find out more.
