We encourage children to actively take part in our services through specially designed activities.

Exploring the Bible is very important for Christians. It helps us to understand more about God by reading how the relationship between God and his people was experienced in ancient times. It also helps us to learn more about Jesus Christ from those who first told his story.
Sheffield Cathedral sometimes offers special events and courses on particular topics related to understanding the Bible, and you can find out about them on our events page and in the learning section.
There is also a Bible study meeting that happens every Wednesday from 13.00 to 14.00. It is usually led by the Dean, Peter Bradley, but sometimes by the Revd Gillian Cooper. Anyone can come along. You don’t need to commit yourself to coming every week, and you don’t need to be an expert theologian – the Bible study is for anyone who wants to explore the riches of the stories, poetry, wisdom and insight that the Bible offers us.
