Song and Silence

Come along to the Cathedral to reflect on joy, gladness, sadness and peace through songs, silence and prayer.

We will be learning simple rounds and chants in four-part harmony: sacred songs of joy, gladness, sadness and peace from a variety of sources from the Judeo-Christian tradition. The silence that follows offers the opportunity to be still, or to pray or meditate.

All the songs will be taught by ear with simple hand movements - no musical experience needed. Someone will lead each part, so no one will be on their own.

All are welcome: churchgoers and non-churchgoers, Christians and non-Christians, all those seeking to open themselves to or deepen their experience of God.

Song and Silence will take place in the Cathedral Nave. It is free to attend and all are welcome.
