Unlocking the secrets of Sheffield

On Monday 7 June, the Dean of Sheffield, Peter Bradley and Dr Andreas Onnerfors, expert in freemasonry, invite you to join them for a stroll around the city centre looking for evidence of hidden symbols and codes that you may well not know even existed.

Following on from the popular success of Dan Brown’s recent novel ‘The Lost Symbol’, this exclusive tour and illustrated talk, scheduled as part of the Summer Arts and Music Festival at Sheffield Cathedral, will be teach you how to read the past and unlock some of the secrets of Sheffield’s history.

Peter Bradley, Dean of Sheffield Cathedral says, “The past of our city is encoded in some of our buildings that we walk and drive past each day. On this tour, we will be helping you break that code.”

Sheffield Cathedral is collaborating with the University of Sheffield for the 2010 Summer Music and Arts Festival which offers a jam packed series of events exploring music, film, literature and current trends. 

The festival runs from 3rd -13th June.
