Sheffield Cathedral is here for the people of Sheffield and South Yorkshire, and it is here because of the people of Sheffield and South Yorkshire.

Cathedrals receive no government funding, and are dependent on the generosity of charitable trusts and individuals for much of the work they do. We are fortunate to have the generous support of the Church Burgesses Trust, which enables us to undertake basic building maintenance and employ our staff. But it is our generous supporters that enable us to:

  • Increase our outreach work with young people, schools and communities.
  • Cultivate a wider range of activities to engage more people to experience what the Cathedral has to offer.
  • Develop our contribution to the rich tradition of Cathedral music.
  • Conserve our magnificent heritage building and develop it for future use by all the people of Sheffield.

We intend to be a Cathedral brimming with life – a place of prayer, worship and welcome, learning, music, art and peace.

We do this with your help – thank you.

You can make a donation to support the work of the Sheffield Cathedral online or via our donations form.  Both allow you to Gift Aid your giving.
