Sheffield Cathedral offers a simply stunning venue for your special day, combining one of the city's great architectural and historical landmarks with the peace and splendour of Sheffield’s only medieval building.
The thought of planning a day with so many important and intricate details can be a little daunting. Enlisting the help of our professionals is your answer...they will take away the stress and strain of planning, leaving you to enjoy the fun and excitement of your special day.
Just think...you could be arriving outside the Cathedral in a horse drawn carriage, Rolls Royce or Bentley to a magnificent peal of bells before your entrance.
Your special day is our priority, no matter how intimate or extravagant, as we believe your wedding should be as unique and utterly distinctive as you and your partner.
Hosting your wedding reception at Sheffield Cathedral you are ensured to have beautiful surroundings for your photographs both inside and outside the building, and one of our professionals on hand to greet your guests and assist you throughout your wedding day,
Once you have met with us and viewed the Cathedral, a provisional booking should be made to avoid disappointment. We can supply a wedding cake table, cake stand and cake knife and flowers for the top table (if required). Sheffield Cathedral can be involved as much or as little as you wish to help take the stress out of the preparations for your big day.
We will hold your chosen date for 28 days without obligation. If you have not been back in touch within this time we will release the date from our diary. Should you wish to confirm your booking a non-refundable deposit of £250.00 will be required.

At the time of booking we will also require an estimated number of guests for your wedding.
A wedding held on a Friday or Saturday must have a minimum of 50 guests attending.
The Domino Hall and 1554 Gallery room hire will be included in the Wedding Breakfast package as long as a minimum of 50 guests, or 75% of guests, whichever is greater attend.
After your deposit you will be required to pay 25% of the balance 6 months before, 25% of the balance 3 months before and the final balance 28 days before your wedding.
In the event of a cancellation, there will be no further charges providing the wedding is cancelled 24 weeks before the date.
Should you find it necessary to cancel within 24 weeks, a charge will be made based on the expected total cost of the event.
All deposits are non-refundable. If more than 24 weeks notice is given only the deposit is lost.
Between 13-23 weeks notice, 50% of the expected total is required for payment.
Between 5-12 weeks notice, 75% of the expected total is required for payment.
Less than 4 weeks notice, 100% of the expected total is required for payment.
Sheffield Cathedral reserves the right to change prices without notice up to 90 days prior to the event.
Sheffield Cathedral is not responsible for any damage or loss of belongings either prior to, during or after the event.
Sheffield Cathedral retains the right to cancel the booking without obligation in the very unlikely event of fire, or by order of any public authority.
Please be aware that there may be other functions happening during the day.
